During the time that we have spent implementing our tools, we have discovered and used a bunch of different OSS projects that we believe could be very useful to broadcasters to achieve different tasks. Today we publish a list of our favorites here.

CRC Tube

We are in the process of writing a paper on a cool mashup that we build last summer based on mmbTools. CRC Tube is a DMB video service that demonstrates how the broadcast infrastructure could be used as part of participatory web applications. The demonstration stream is generated automatically by combining the most popular Youtube clips in a one hour show.

It looks like this type of service could become reality in Korea very soon.

mmbTools Open

The CRC mmbTools website is now open. The DabAudio WAPP web appliance is the first tool to be released. New mmbTools will be added in the coming weeks. We plan to integrate a discussion forum later on. Please send us your ideas and comments by email for now. See the "Contacts" section for details.
